Our Vision

Lo'rijane (pronounced low ree Jay n) is the parent of 3 autistic adults, has 3 grown step sons, 5 step grandchildren, has been a host parent to 5 japanese exchange students, and has fostered over 100 hard to place children. Her own children were mostly homeschooled, but also participated in charter, public, private, and virtual schooling. She obtained her AA in Early childhood in 96, when she also completed AMS Montessori Teacher Training. Thirty years of experience brings her to Fallon, with a desire to aid the community in educating children, using several methods, but mainly Montessori. She has attended various community colleges, as well as Institute of Children's Literature, SOSC, U of U, and BYUI. She has lived in Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, California, Michigan, and now Nevada. Newly remarried,  she has lived in Churchill Co for since 2020. Her husband, Aaron, works for the Department of Defense. Pets are plentiful in her home, including dogs, turtles, frogs, and a lizard. Employed previously in various other careers including nanny, caregiver, home daycare provider, after school provider, special needs respite worker, ESL tutor, and orchard tour guide, she found her life's calling in teaching Preschool and Kindergarten. Autistic herself, she brings with her much knowledge, experience and training in neurodivergence, welcoming those with different needs, as well as neurotypical children, to her school.  In earlier years, she participated in Drama Club, won the Oregon Young Writer Award, qualified for Miss Teen Oregon Pageant, won a writing scholarship, appeared in Who's Who American HS students in Speech/Drama and Leadership/Service, earned a Young Women’s Award( equivalent to an Eagle Scout), and was a member of the National Forensics League, thus taking her school to State in Public Speaking and Poetry. She loves volunteering. She has been; a Chocolatier for the Lassen Co Arts Council, a Docent for Marshall Gold Discovery State Park, a member of the Sierra NV Pioneer Re-enactors, a Girl Scout Leader, a VFW JR Girls Leader, a Beta Sigma Phi member, a Helping Hands volunteer, a leader of church primary/youth organizations, an editor of a church newsletter, an instructor for a Fine Arts and Music Education program, a member of the Lassen Co Special Needs Committee, a parent volunteer, and currently serves as a moderator for an online autism group. She looks forward to bringing her passion for geology and other cultures into the classroom. Her interests are; enjoying sunshine and nature, thrift stores/yard sales, rocks, plays, exploring new cultural cuisine,  but mostly cultural fairs/ festivals including those she attends with her Renaissance Faire guild.

Autumn has over 10 years of experience in childcare.  She has dreamed of  running a classroom for a long time and has intentionally worked in various childcare fields in order to bring as many perspectives as possible to her time as a Teacher at MNM. As a child she began working as a peer tutor for kids with Autism, helping them with academic and social skills. As a teenager she worked as a Mother's Helper, and Babysitter for a local church's Mom Group.  Since graduating high school,  she has worked as: a Respite Care Worker for children with special needs, a Nanny, a Field Trip Tour Guide at Apple Hill, a Registered Behavior Technician for kids, a Co-Teacher in the toddler room at a Montessori school, and an Assistant Teacher in the preschool room at a Montessori school. She has volunteered as a Nursery Director, a Sunday School Teacher, and a Mentor for her old high school robotics team. She was a foster parent and hopes to continue fostering in the future. She has attended college with a focus on Early Childhood Education and attended many  seminars  on the care and education of children. She has a vast amount of experience with neurodiversity that we are excited to have at our school. Autumn is passionate about the emotional regulation/intelligence curriculum that she brings to the classroom. She has lived in Fallon since 2020. She spends most of her time dedicated to her work, but she also loves supporting and participating in visual and performing arts, renaissance faires, and cultural festivals.  She spends most of her free time with her family and boyfriend doing movie nights, game nights, spending time in nature, camping, reading, crafting, and playing with her beloved pets (especially our class dog, her golden retriever).
